SlipCompare is a free, browser-based document comparison tool that allows users to compare PDF, Word, Excel, and text files. The Service processes all documents locally in your web browser — no files are uploaded to our servers.

3. Use of the Service

You agree to use SlipCompare only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Use automated systems or bots to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use

4. Privacy and Data

5. AI Assistant Feature

SlipCompare includes an optional AI assistant ("Adam") that can help analyze documents and answer questions. When using this feature:

• Any text you share with the AI assistant is sent to our servers for processing
• We do not store your conversations or document content after processing
• The AI assistant provides informational responses and should not be relied upon for legal, medical, or professional advice
• Use of the AI assistant is subject to fair usage limits

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-uploaded documents), is owned by SlipCompare and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

You acknowledge that document comparison results should be verified independently, especially for legal, financial, or other critical applications.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SLIPCOMPARE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which, for the free version, is zero).
